What are they used for
Red Onions are a milder and sweeter onion that lend themselves well to being used raw in salads or light cooking in a stir fry.
Red Onions have the advantage of adding colour to your dishes, along with added antioxidants.
Marinated Red Onions
If you feel red onions are a little pungent for raw use, they can be marinated in equal parts sugar and vinegar. Marinate for 10-30 minutes; these will still be
crunchy and flavoursome and make a nice bright topping for a green salad.
